Our Mission

We the parish of St. Mary's Church, Nawalapitiya, Sri Lanka, strive to emulate the love that dwells in Jesus Christ, the Lord our God through Holy Mary, the mother of God, for all the people of God, by fostering love and unity among peoples of all denominations who form part of the parish family as well as with those in the wider community.

Our Community

The parish community has grown from less than few families in 1967 to over 625 today. Masses are celebrated in English on Saturdays and in all three languages on Sundays. Our parish is proud of the fact that 2 sons of the parish became priests, and 13 daughters of the parish became religious Sisters.
